How to make WOW Gold – Mining and Smelting
There are a couple of basic things you can do to make money using mining. Obviously the best method is to go farm a variety of Ore and either make bars or sell the ore for gold. The problem with this is that there are hundereds of other people out there doing this AND you actually have to go out and gather the crap. So lets go over how to make a quick buck using your skill. Do keep in mind that you have to have your Titan steel cool down for this to work. I’ll go over a few ways to make some gold without having the titan steel CD too.

On several of the servers I’m on there is one simple truth. EVERYONE at level 80 can use a titan steel bar. So you need to start making them asap. Once you can make them you need to get the mats to do so. Now you could farm these which is actually very easy if you know where to look. OR, you can by them off the AH.
On average the total purchasing price for the mats is 60g or so. If you have the money to buy at bulk and at a discount then you can sometimes get them for 40-50g. Once you have it the mats simply take them and create the bar. THEN you can sell it on the AH for a quick 40g. The alternative is to actually sell the COOL down. Now this is just plain dumb if you ask me as you’re essentially cutting into your own market. Simple DO NOT sell your cool down, wait for that dumb enchanter to post his mats on the AH then buy them up and sell him the titansteel bar he was going to have you make.

BUY OTHER PEOPLES COOL DOWN.
Sounds silly right. Literally you can do this at any level once youhave the gold. I’ve already said you can buy the mats for 50g. Most people sell the cool down for 15-20g. Total cost to have someone make a titan steel bar for you 70g.

Now post that bar in the AH for 90g. This basically does 2 things.
1. It decreases the amount of people getting “free” titan steel bars and chewing into your market.
2. Allows you to turn a few minutes on the AH and on the trade channel into 20g.

I once bought 10 Titan steel cooldowns in less than 30 minutes after buying a HUGE amount of mats. I then flipped the titan steel and voila.

Now you can take this to the next level if you’re a blacksmither. OR if you know someone who can Blacksmith. Literally you can create craftable items for 50% of what they cost on the AH, very simply put the money is there for you to make if you just take the time.

Always make sure to keep track of what you’re buy and how much it’s costing you. No sense in losing money.
